Candace Eden

Candace Eden is an active, licensed RN with 40+ years of experience with clinical experience in emergency, trauma, cardiology/open-heart service lines. She has worked in a broad range of clinical environments including: trauma centers, tertiary care centers, community hospitals, ambulatory care sites, patient experience provider, and has opened a new, free-standing pediatric hospital.

Ms. Eden has served in Nursing, Quality & Patient Safety Executive Leadership positions for the last 13 years. She has been a Licensed Risk Manager since 1997; held director roles in quality & patient safety for 15 years; and has served in an executive role as patient experience clinical consultant for HCAPHS scores. She has expertise in Change Management tactics and in development, implementation and reconsideration of Performance Improvement and regulatory processes and measures.

Ms. Eden has held many roles including an RN Consultant for Joint Commission Resources for Joint Commission; the Corporate Director Patient Safety, Orlando Health; the Corporate Director/Quality and Regulatory Performance, Advent Health; the Director of Quality, Risk Management & Patient Safety, Kaiser Permanente, GA Region; the Director of Risk Management, Nemours Children’s Hospital; and the VP of Quality & Patient Safety, Northside Hospital (HCA) , St Petersburg.

Ms. Eden is also very involved in professional organizations including the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM), the Florida Society of Healthcare Risk Management & Patient Safety (FSHRMPS), Florida Nurses Association, and the National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ). She holds multiple certifications and Fellowships.

Ms. Eden received her BSN from Florida Southern University, her Master of Nursing from the University of Phoenix and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Central Florida.
